Project Summary:
The project focuses on exploring and promoting the pedagogy of risk in forest kindergartens and outdoor early childhood education. Through international cooperation, partner organisations will examine how age-appropriate risk-taking supports children’s physical development, resilience, self-confidence, decision-making skills and overall well-being.
The project brings together forest kindergarten practitioners, educators and experts from six European countries to share experiences, research and good practices related to risk in children’s play and learning. Partners will work together to develop practical resources, training materials and recommendations that help educators create safe environments where children can benefit from challenging and meaningful experiences.
The project aims to increase understanding of the educational value of risk, support professional development among educators and contribute to improving the quality of outdoor education across Europe.
